Main beaches of the island
Kradan Beach: one and a half kilometers of azure
The main beach of the island, 1.5 km long, is famous for its soft white sand and shallow waters. This is an ideal location for photo shoots and safe swimming.
- House reef: The main feature of the beach is that it is alive a coral reef that begins just 50 meters from the shore. To see exotic fish and vibrant corals, you don’t need to book an excursion - just wear a mask.
- Important advice:Plan for snorkeling and swimming strictly at high tide. At low tide, the water goes far, exposing the rocky bottom.

The secluded Sunset Beach is hidden on the opposite, western side of the island. A small path through the jungle leads here. This is the best place to spend the sunset under the golden sky away from civilization.
Kayaking around the island
Renting a kayak is a great way to explore the coastline of Koh Kradan. In a couple of hours you can go around the island, find wild deserted bays and enjoy views of the steep cliffs.
How to get to Koh Kradan in 2026
The island is located in the south of Thailand, and you can get here in several ways:
- From the mainland (Trang Province):From Pak Meng Pier there are regular speedboats and traditional long-tail boats. Travel time is from 30 to 45 minutes.
- From neighboring islands:During the tourist season, direct sea connections have been established withKoh Lanta, Koh Mook and Koh Lipe.
Best time to travel
Ideal season for a holiday on Koh Kradan -November to April. During these months, the Andaman Sea is as calm as possible, there is no rain, and visibility under water reaches 15–20 meters, which is critical for snorkelers. From May to October, the monsoon season begins, many hotels close and boat services become unstable.
Useful information for tourists before the trip
Koh Kradan is an area of ecological relaxation, so there are no usual benefits of civilization here:
- Cash:On the islandno automated teller machines (ATM). Cards are not accepted everywhere (and often with a commission of 3-5%), so take enough cash baht with you.
- Stores:Large chain supermarkets (7-Eleven or Lotus's) is not here. It is better to buy all essential goods and beach items on the mainland.
- Internet and light:Some budget bungalows have electricity is supplied hourly (from generators), and Wi-Fi is stable only in the reception areas of large hotels.
- Ecology:The island is part of the Hat Chao Mai National Park. It is prohibited to damage corals, collect shells and litter.
